A Godly Women

An inner purity, a waterfall

its source, God's unfailing love

a cleanliness, a peace inside

obedience to God above.

To love the Lord with all your heart

is to fear him and obey

When we live for him with our bodies

all guilt is kept away.

To be a Godly woman

is to trust God and his word

to stand firm in your convictions

while the world thinks you're absurd

To hate that which is evil

and cling to what is good

No matter how your passions burn

to do the things you should

You are hit by strong emotion

and tempted to give in

But you resist the devils tempting

because you hate the taste of sin

This creates in you a spirit

that is clear and pure and clean

when your life is then examined

no blemish can be seen

You have no fear of hiding

and your conscience will feel free

If you commit yourself to the Lord

and live in Purity.
