Christmas

Christmas time to most is a time to receive.

We look forward to presents stacked under the trees.

Children are told of Santa and the elves,

and are very excited to get toys for themselves.

For some, Christmas is just another day

with limited cash, and big bills to pay.

Others have money, but spend Christmas alone,

without any friends, solitude in their homes.

Christmas for me is a day to rejoice.

It's the day we celebrate Jesus being born of his choice.

It's not just a time for putting lights on a tree,

but a time to thank Jesus for what he did for me

It's a time to give and not expect to receive.

A time to love, and reach out to those in need

So you see, Christmas is not just like a holiday

but a time to show God's love in a very special way.
