My Friend

Sometimes it seems for me

that life is hard to bear

But I'm glad I have a friend

that I know is always there

He's with me when I'm lonely

to help brighten up my day

and when I need someone to talk to

by my side he always stays

My friend is like a father

who teaches me new things

He is also like a brother

who understands my needs

I am so glad he loves me

and cares the way he does

because it is him that I depend on

for Joy and Strength and Love
