My Sister

I've known my sister thirteen years,

she's always lived next door.

I'm really glad I have her,

life has never been a bore.

Sometimes we fight and argue,

which isn't fun at all.

But other times we laugh so hard,

that tears begin to fall.

My sister's very pretty with her long, soft, golden hair

We always trade and borrow all the clothes we wear.

We are very different; some think that we're alike.

We have different tastes in many things;

That's why we get uptight.

I'm glad I have a sister, though,

to walk with in the mall

When we don't have friends to come with us

to visit stores and all.

It's nice to have a sister,

to talk to when I'm sad

and occasionally help me take the blame

when I've done something bad.

We have our bad times with our good,

and that will probably stay

But we will always be best friends,

in a sister sort of way.
