The Waves of Life

The calm roar of the waves hitting the beach

the crunch of sand beneath my feet

The sun was hot, the water warm

the ocean quiet until the storm

the wind blew hard, the waves were rough

to surf at this time, you must be tough

when the sea calmed down and the rain went away

the sun came out and it was a new day.
