The Way You Are

You need to be accepted

not by the clothes you wear

the color of your eyes

or the way you fix your hair

people should accept you

for the friendship in your heart,

the love you give to others

whether you're together

or apart

When people don't accept you

cause you've got

a minor flaw

you refuse to do the bad stuff

they think you're just a bunch of blaw

then maybe you don't need those friends

and should look further on

for being friends with them

is nothing but a con

Don't be jealous or go lower

just to join the crowd

Love yourself and love your neighbor

Stand tall and just be proud
